Home-made Pizza!!

Last night I made home-made pizza for dinner!!

I began by making the dough for the crust.  I combined white and wheat flour, salt, rapid rise yeast and very warm water.  I then mixed it together and kneaded it for about 5 minutes.  I then had to cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes.
While the dough was resting I prepped my pizza stone by spraying it with cooking spray and then sprinkling it with cornmeal.

I also prepped the toppings for the pizza.
Top Row:
Cheeses: Mozzarella & Parmesan
2nd Row:
Cooked Chicken, Sliced Cooked Mushrooms & Pizza Sauce
Bottom Row:
Chopped Pineapple & Maple Bacon

Finally the dough was finished rising!!

I then used my hands to stretch the dough out until it was large enough to fit our pizza stone
I then covered it with pizza sauce and both parmesan and mozzarella cheese.

I also covered the entire pizza with pineapple.

My husband and I have different tastes on pizza toppings (he's more adventurous
than I am), so I customized our pizza to our tastes.

I then cooked our pizza in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes.
Here is our finished pizza!!

So, overall I would say that the tally is:
Home-made Pizza- A near hit!!

I need to make some adjusments when we make home-made pizza again.
1.  Do not make it with whole wheat flour (stick to all white flour)
2.  The pizza was kind of dry so I'll add more sauce next time.
3.  Don't cook it as long.  Our pizza was NOT burnt, but the cheese was a little more done than we like.  We like the kind of cheese where you bite into the pizza and the cheese trails to your mouth.
