Pumpkin Pasta

Last night I made Pumpkin Pasta and Garlic Toast for dinner


I began by cooking bulk maple sausage in a large pan with some olive oil.

When that was completely cooked I added mushrooms, onions and garlic and cooked them.

When they were completely cooked I added some cooking wine to de-glaze the pan.  I then added some chicken broth, canned pumpkin, cream and some spices and let it thicken.

While the mixture was thickening I cooked my pasta.  We use cavatapi or corkscrew pasta.


After the pasta was drained I put it back into the pan that it was cooked in, and then add the sausage and vegetable sauce to it.



We serve the pumpkin pasta with Parmesan cheese on the top with a side of garlic toast.


So, overall I would say that the tally is:

Pumpkin Pasta- A DEFINITE HIT!! (this is one of our favorite recipes)
Garlic Toast- A hit
